The Hillman Hex Head Sleeve Anchor is an expansion anchor for dependable fastening in solid concrete, brick, block and stone. As you tighten the hex nut, the sleeve expands firmly against the sides of the drilled hole. This creates a secure mechanical lock that helps resist loosening from vibration, movement or load stress. The hex head installs easily with a standard wrench or socket tool. It is made from carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish, which helps protect against rust and corrosion in interior and light exterior environments. Typical uses include installing door and window frames, mounting shelving systems and attaching wall fixtures. Each anchor measures 3/8" in diameter and 1-7/8" in length and comes with a hex nut and washer. It installs in a pre-drilled 3/8" hole with a minimum embedment depth of 1-5/8".
