The Hillman Hex Head Sleeve Anchor is an expansion anchor for fastening fixtures securely into concrete and masonry. As you turn the nut, it pulls the end of the anchor up through the sleeve. This expands the sleeve and locks the anchor firmly in the base material. Typical uses include door and window frame installations, mounting fixtures on walls, and fitting shelving. The zinc plating offers moderate protection against rust and corrosion. This anchor measures 5/16" in diameter and 1-1/2" in length and installs in a pre-drilled 5/16" hole with a minimum embedment depth of 1-3/8".
