A spring-tension wire frame wraps around the back of the plate, and its gripper arms hook over the rim to hold the plate flat and level against the wall. You never need to drill or glue the plate itself. The soft plastic-covered tips grip the rim firmly without scratching or chipping the glaze. The kit includes a 30 lb professional brass picture hanger for mounting on drywall or plaster walls, so everything you need comes in one pack. To install, snap one gripper over the top edge of the plate, stretch the springs and snap the remaining gripper over the opposite edge. Adjust until the fit is tight and the springs are taut.
