This Intex Solar Pool Cover floats on the surface of a 9 × 18 ft (274 × 549 cm) rectangular frame pool, using an air-bubble surface to capture the sun's warmth and pass it into the water — and, just as usefully in Curaçao's climate, it dramatically reduces evaporation and water loss while keeping wind-blown leaves, dust and debris out of the pool. Small drainage holes let rainwater pass through instead of pooling on top, and the cover rolls up for easy storage between swims. The cover measures 538 × 253 cm, slightly smaller than the pool so it sits neatly on the water surface.
