Intex Magnetic LED Pool-Wall Light — 28698 (220–240V)

Light up an above-ground pool after dark without cutting a single hole in the wall. The Intex Magnetic LED Pool-Wall Light uses a clever magnetic design: one unit sits inside the pool and a matching unit clamps to the outside of the sidewall, held together magnetically through the wall. Power passes safely through the wall to the underwater LED, so no electricity ever enters the water and there's nothing to install permanently — just position it anywhere on the sidewall and move it whenever you like. The energy-efficient LED throws more light than a conventional 50-watt halogen bulb and can illuminate a pool up to 7.32 m (24 ft) across, cycling through four colours — green, aqua, blue and purple — with smooth transition modes. A built-in safety touch: if the inner unit ever comes loose from its magnetic partner, it simply floats to the surface for easy retrieval. The mains adapter steps the supply down to a safe 12V DC at the light.

Power note: This is the 220–240V version. On Curaçao's 127V supply it needs a step-up transformer. Because the adapter here is a separate plug-in part (not built in like the airbed pumps), the alternative is to source Intex's matching 120V unit/transformer — worth checking with the supplier, as it's a cleaner fix than a transformer.

Install & care: Plug the adapter into a properly earthed, GFCI/RCD-protected outdoor outlet, as with any poolside electrical device. In Curaçao's coastal, salt-air climate, keep the external adapter and outside housing in a dry, shaded spot away from direct spray and rain to protect the contacts from corrosion.
