The Hillman Hardware Essentials Wire Rope Clip is a simple, practical way to make a loop at the end of wire rope (cable). It has a stainless steel U-bolt and a malleable cast iron saddle, and it clamps the rope securely in place once the nuts are tightened. This 1/16" clip must match the diameter of the cable it is used on. It is intended for uncoated cable, so remove any coating before installation. Refer to a wire rope sizing guide for the minimum number of clips required and how much rope to turn back. If three clips are needed, space them evenly. Wrap the end of the wire rope with wire to help prevent fraying. This clip is not intended for critical applications and must not be used for lifting or suspending loads.
